Contact Mic Recording – Chain Link Fence

This is a field recording I made of a chain link fence, using a pair of piezo contact microphones. There is no processing of the audio! All of the sound you hear is from the slight breeze vibrating the 20-foot high, block-long metal fence.

The contact microphones are plugged into a custom stereo JFET preamp, and then into a Zoom H1 digital recorder.
